Having A Moment With Floral Rompers

When you’re wearing florals and you pass by a garden that’s dreamy enough to be straight out of a fairytale, you have to stop and take photos, even if your pollen allergies beg to differ…

OK, is it just me or is early June the easiest time of year to appreciate nature? With winter long behind us and the inconsistent weather patterns of May coming to a close, June offers the much-needed relief of constantly sunny skies and reliably warm temperatures. It’s one of the few times a year when I actually trust the weather to stay the same (well…for the most part. After all, the weather is still the weather).

Anyway, on this particular day, the sun was shining brightly when I decided to snap a few shots. I was wearing this fun, tropical-printed romper, which I felt did a great job of tying in to the carefree summer vibe (I know it’s not technically summer yet, but let me have my fun). Unfortunately, the romper is a couple of years old, so I wasn’t able to locate it online. However, floral rompers are everywhere right now, so I imagine a quick Google search could direct you to at least a dozen similar items.

Over top of the romper, I had on this jean jacket, which, to be honest, I feel strange calling a jacket given its material. The best way I can think to describe it is having the thickness of a flannel but the style of a jacket. It doesn’t provide a ton of warmth, but it’s a useful item to throw on during the hotter months if I’m just looking for a little something extra.

To finish off the look, I added a couple of simple pieces: white-rim sunnies and my favorite pair of strappy black heels. These are probably my most frequently used accessories, and for good reason. They match almost everything, and they both give off a sleek, classic look.

What does your favorite outfit for summer look like?
