For a long time, I’ve been curious about electric toothbrushes. I have always gone the manual brushing route. And while it has worked pretty well for me, I have always wondered how an electric brush would compare, and if it would be able to simulate a level of deep cleaning similar to that you get at the dentist’s office. Who doesn’t love the fresh, clean feeling you have after you’ve had your teeth cleaned?

Anyway, my curiosity piqued when Sierra over at Smile Brilliant reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in trying out their cariPRO Ultrasonic Electric Toothbrush, which is advertised as having the ability to remove seven times more plaque than a normal manual toothbrush, improve gum health and result in whiter teeth. Now that I’ve had the chance to try it out for a week fews, I want to tell you all about my experience.

A little bit about the cariPRO Ultrasonic: It comes with two brush heads and has five modes. The modes are clean, white, massage, gum care and sensitive. Each mode is designed for a specific purpose. Clean is for your standard, day-to-day cleaning. White is for removing deep stains. Massage is for gentle cleaning. Gum care is, as you likely expect, for your gums. And sensitive is a lighter variation of clean, designed for people with sensitive teeth or gums.

I tried out each of the modes a couple of times, and I really like all of them. My favorites are clean, massage and sensitive. While I personally don’t have sensitive gums or teeth, I felt like those settings provided me with the perfect amount of pressure. Clean is fantastic for a thorough brushing twice a day, while the massage and sensitive modes are great when I simply want something extra.

I use the white mode about once a week, too. It’s by far the strongest setting on the brush, but I think it’s phenomenal for when you want that deep, heavy duty clean. My teeth feel nearly as fresh as they do when I go for a cleaning at the dentist after I use this setting. The modes serve a wide variety of pressures and purposes, which means you’re bound to find a few that work for you.

In addition to giving a deep cleaning, the cariPRO Ultrasonic has another feature I love: a timer. This toothbrush is designed to help you reach all four corners of your mouth for equal periods of time. Before I started brushing with the cariPRO Ultrasonic, I would set a timer in order to get an even brush throughout my teeth. However, with the cariPRO, I don’t even need to think about it. After I select a mode, the toothbrush begins operating on a two-minute timer. The brush briefly pauses every 30 seconds to signal that you should move to another quadrant of your mouth and turns off once the time has expired.  

Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the cariPRO Ultrasonic. Its brushing options and timer feature make it convenient and user-friendly. Since I started incorporating it into my daily routine, I’ve felt like my teeth are fresher and brighter.
