I’ve been in a fashion rut lately. And when it comes to fashion ruts, my thought process has always been this: If you’re bored, you should try something different. That’s precisely what I decided to do. For an entire week, I wore exclusively pink outfits.
Although I like pink, it’s easily the color I wear the least. I tend to stick to a darker color palette, even in the summer. But recently, I have found myself being drawn to brighter colors, and I decided to take that newfound interest and make a lookbook out of it.
Before I get into this, I should mention that despite this post being called “I Wore Pink Every Day For An Entire Week,” these photos weren’t actually shot in a week’s time. That had been the plan, but then…life happened. I’ve been working on this post for a few weeks now, and I am so excited to finally get to share it.

- Everything had to come from my closet
- Pink had to be the central focus of the outfit

For the first day, I wanted to ease myself into the challenge by wearing something that’s a staple in my wardrobe. I went with this colorful + casual look, pairing a bright coral tee (yes, coral counts as pink in my book!) with taupe sandals and my favorite pair of high-waisted jean shorts. I’ve had these shorts for ages. They ended up in my possession through hand-me-downs forever ago — I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they were eight or more years old. Nevertheless, they’ve stayed in great condition over the years, and I still can’t get enough of the playful floral print. I also really like how the top brings out the pink in the shorts.

The second day, I was still feeling the bright and summery vibes, so I went with this coral pink romper. As I was putting the outfit together, I found this crystal statement necklace in my jewelry box that I realized matched perfectly, a lucky coincidence and one I’ll definitely be taking advantage of in the future. Of all the outfits in this post, this is probably the one that felt most outside my comfort zone. That being said, it ended up being one of my favorites. Simple and understated, but very on theme for the season.

On day three, I went for a more classic pink look. I found this striped cotton candy pink dress on a clearance rack a couple weeks ago (it was actually the inspiration behind this post), which I chose to pair with cream wedges. The flowers in my hair were an impromptu addition, but I thought they were fun and fitting for the look.

On day four, I went the casual route, sticking with a tank top, jean shorts, and sneakers. This top reminds me of a mix between Elle Woods and Cher Horowitz. I love the high-neck and the soft shade of pink. The day I wore this ended up being really hot, so it worked out well.

FINALLY. Day five. For my last pink look, I wanted to try something different by incorporating the pink in to the details of the outfit. I paired this striped graphic tee with the word “lovely” in written in pink writing on the front with a jean skirt and pink pearl bracelets. I also put on a bright pink lipstick.

Great post! I love the fact that you tried something new for you! 😊 I think the colours I wear the least are pastel colours, I have a very fair skin so I feel like it doesn’t compliment my skin tone!

Thank you so much! And I don’t wear a ton of pastel either!
