Blogmas Recap

Hello friends and happy holidays!

Today’s the 25th, which means it’s officially the last day of Blogmas 2018. I know this is probably going to be written by a million bloggers today, but I can’t believe how quickly this month flew by. This Christmas season felt way too short, and I’m already sad that it’s over.

For today’s post, I thought I would do a quick recap of Blogmas 2018. As you probably noticed, I was able to keep up with the daily posts at the beginning of the month. However, things became less consistent toward the end. If you know anything about me, you know that I hate not not being able to follow through with things. So, I wanted to give you a little explanation as to what happened.

I talked about this a little bit on Instagram and Twitter, but I had oral surgery about a week ago. Everything went fine, and I’m feeling a lot better now. But for the first few days after the surgery, the pain was pretty intense. I obviously took some time away from blogging on those days. But even after I started feeling better, I didn’t end up blogging very much.

The truth is, I needed a brief blogging break to decompress. December has been a chaotic, draining month for me (in a good but exhausting way), and I didn’t want to force myself to put up content that I wasn’t 100 percent happy with. And although that meant I wouldn’t get through Blogmas perfectly, I felt better about it than I would’ve about publishing half-hearted posts.

In spite of the fact that I didn’t make it through entirely, I had a lot of fun doing Blogmas this year. It’s such a fun, exciting way to celebrate the holidays and finish out the year. I may or may not get another post up before the end of 2018, so if this is the last time you’re hearing from me this year, I want to say thank you for your support! I can’t wait to keep writing and creating in 2019!
