25 Fun Activities To Do This Winter

With the exception of the holidays, winter can sometimes be a blah time of year. The cold temperatures and the snowstorms place many limitations on what you can do for fun, which is why today I thought I would share a few of my favorite winter-centric activities. I feel like it’s great to have lists like this for when boredom strikes. So, if the chilly weather has you feeling down, these are some entertaining things you can do to keep yourself busy.

  • Take pretty winter photos
  • Have a movie/Netflix binging day
  • Go ice skating
  • Drink hot chocolate and watch the snow fall
  • Sit in front of a fire
  • Take your dog for a walk
  • Stay in your pajamas all day
  • Have a snowball fight
  • Make homemade soup
  • Get your holiday gift shopping done
  • Explore nature
  • Curl up with a good book
  • Make homemade holiday decorations
  • Go snow tubing
  • Take a winter hike
  • Spend an entire day baking
  • Drive around looking for Christmas lights
  • Make a gourmet hot cocoa and take pictures of it
  • Build a snowman
  • Have an at-home spa session
  • Try an indoor workout
  • Do an adult coloring page
  • Revisit a favorite place from your childhood
  • Watch a documentary

  1. I have no idea what snow tubing is – I’m gonna have to look that up now! We don’t get much snow where I live, so when we do, it’s a big event and I insist on going for snowy walks and building a snowman, which has to be followed by a hot chocolate. Thanks for sharing your wintry list!
