One Skirt Worn Two Ways

One of my favorite things about fashion is versatility. I love picking up pieces that can be worn in two completely different settings and still look good. I think I’ve found that in this skirt, which I have basically been wearing nonstop since I discovered my adoration for it this past August. This skirt is one of those great pieces that fits just about any situation. Dressy, casual, or in-between, you’re bound to find a cute way to style it.

In today’s case, I decided to go casual. Opting for a black-and-white striped top, Converse sneakers, and funky sunglasses, I kept things comfy and low-key. I think the combination of the flouncy skirt and high-top sneakers creates a cool contrast. This is the perfect look for running errands or even hanging around the house.

I did a look with this skirt a few months back that was on the dressier side of things, and I thought I would share it again to showcase the skirt’s versatility. For this outfit, I went with a black high-neck tank top and a fun pair of open-toed heels. It was definitely intended for a dressier occasion than the first look, but I think it’s neat how the skirt fit well in both scenarios.

Ultimately, I think one of the best ways to expand your wardrobe is to have pieces like this, which can be used in many different settings. Not only does it allow you to get more uses out of the things you have, it also gives you a lot more freedom and flexibility. Versatile pieces make outfits about a million times easier to style.

Anyway, thank you for reading! I am off to start planning a new lookbook and maybe do a quick face mask.

What are some versatile pieces you have in your closet?
