The Boots I’m Loving This Fall

It is an indisputable fact that fall is a time for pumpkins, scarves, and boots. So, it should be no surprise that my current favorite footwear option is a gorgeous pair of faux suede ankle booties.

I got these booties as a birthday present over the summer, and I was so excited to break them out and start styling them this fall. They have a simple and sleek look to them, which makes them a great addition to any fall outfit. Plus, the low heel is nice and comfortable if you’re doing a lot of walking.

For today’s look, I decided to go with something pretty typical of me. If you know anything about my taste in fashion, you know that I have a weakness for polka dots and black-and-white. A top that combines both is basically all I could ever want. The fabric of this top is super light and airy. It’s perfect for those warmer fall days.

Next, I put on a pair of high-waisted skinny jeans. High-waisted anything is another huge weakness of mine. Although it may not be the most exciting thing in the world, the high-waisted look is a classic. Given the choice between something high-waisted and something not high-waisted, I’m always going to chose high-waisted.

I like the idea of keeping an outfit very basic and neutral, and then brighting things up with a pop of color. In this case, that pop of color was the booties. All I can say is that I adore the way the maroon looks with the black-and-white top. (I actually debated calling this post “Black and White and Red All Over” and then changed my mind about it, a decision I am now starting to regret). For finishing details, I went with this silver heart pendant necklace. Cute, minimal, and stylish.
