I don’t know about you, but I’ve always had a soft spot for polka dots. Tops. Skirts. Dresses. Shorts. If it has polka dots on it, I’m into it.

That being said, it should come to no surprise that I’ve got a polka dot piece to share with you today. I picked up this adorable polka dot tank top during a thrift shopping trip a couple weeks ago, and I swear it was made for me. Not only does it have the polka dots I love, it’s also a peplum top (a favorite style of mine) and black and white (my favorite colors to wear). It’s like all my go-to styles have been rolled into one.

I decided to wear the top with a pair of light-wash skinny jeans. Since peplum tops are flowy, I like to style them with tighter bottoms. It creates a good contrast and puts the focus of the outfit on the flowiness of the top.

 

The top gave me a lot of retro vibes, so I chose to keep them going by putting on a pair of vintage-inspired sunglasses. These white-rimmed shades complement the outfit really well, giving it a more cohesive look.

To finish the outfit off, I put on a basic pair of cream wedges and a small silver necklace. It was a simple outfit, but at the same time, stylish.
