July Favorites

Somehow we’ve reached the end of July, which means it’s time for another installment of monthly favorites. I’ve found a lot of different favorite things this month, particularly in the beauty category, so I’ve got a lot to talk about.

Let’s get into it, shall we?

BEAUTY

July has been a huge month for me beauty-wise. I’ve been trying out loads of different looks and products, and one of my main focuses has been skincare. As you may know, I went on vacation at the end of June, and when I got back, my skin wasn’t in its best shape. (I blame it on all the junk food I ate while I was in New York. But who doesn’t eat junk while they’re on vacation?!?).

Anyway, I’ve been trying to get my skin back to how it was before I left ever since. Mud masks. Sheet masks. Faces cleansers. The whole nine yards. It has definitely gotten a lot better the past couple of weeks, and I attribute most of that success to two products: the Glamglow Supercleanse and the Korres Greek Yoghurt Foaming Cream Cleanser.

Let’s talk about these products. The Glamglow Supercleanse is cream-to-foaming cleanser that you activate by applying with a handful of water. The formula is thin and easy to rinse off. It leaves your skin feeling soft and refreshed. I like using it right after I wake up in the morning. It’s a great way to start my day.

Up next is the Korres Greek Yoghurt Cleanser, which is absolutely AMAZING. I know I mentioned this product in my June favorites post, but my love for this product has only grown as this month has gone by. Refreshing and hydrating, this cleanser removes makeup from my face without leaving it feeling dry or sticky. It is quickly becoming an all-time favorite of mine.

Moving on from skincare, I have discovered a few makeup products that I really enjoy. One of them is the BareMinerals Mineral Veil. I honestly don’t know how it happened, but all of sudden, I have found myself wearing this stuff on a daily basis, regardless of how much makeup I put on. It does a fantastic job of blurring pores and reducing shine. And there’s something about it that just makes skin look so fresh and glowy. I can’t remember the last time I loved a finishing powder as much as this one.

I have also fallen in love with three lipsticks, all of which are from L’oreal Paris. The first is “Rebel Rouge,” which is a really beautiful mauve taupe color. The second, “Sparkling Rose,” is a shimmery pink. And the third, “Peony Pink,” is (as you can probably deduce) pink. The colors of these lipsticks are bright and pigmented, and formulas are creamy and moisturizing. The only con to them is that they don’t last very long, so you have to keep applying throughout the day. But other than that, they’re great.

HAIRCARE

I only have one product for haircare, which is the Living Proof No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream. I talked all about this hair cream a few days ago, but I couldn’t do a favorites post without giving it a quick mention. My hair has a tendency to become very frizzy this time of year, when the air is hot and humid. That being said, this no frizz cream has been a lifesaver. I run a little drop of this stuff through my hair before I style it, and it keeps the frizz from appearing.

JEAN SKIRTS.

I feel like I could leave it at that. I picked up this simple denim skirt earlier this month, and I’ve been wearing it on a weekly basis ever since. I love the fact that it goes with everything.

Another fashion item that I have adored are these taupe sandals from the brand Blowfish. I’ve been wearing this sandals just about every day since the month started. They’re easy to slip on right as I’m running out the door (not to mention they are incredibly comfortable).

BLOGGING

I wanted to include blogging in my favorites because one of my big goals for the month was to try something new on the blog, which I felt like I did with both my Friends Inspired Lookbook and my Blog Outtakes post. Both of these posts were different from what I’ve done here on Currently, Lately in the past, and I had a lot of fun writing them.

Anyway, those are some things I’ve been enjoying this month. My July was pretty great, and I hope yours was as well.

FYI: I received the lipsticks in this post complimentary for testing purposes; however, my opinions on them are honest.
