The Beauty Edit

Sometimes it’s fun to just go through my beauty products and share ones I’ve been particularly enjoying. A simple beauty edit for a Monday.

IPKN Radiant Cream Primer – One of the few face primers I’ve used and not totally hated, the IPKN Radiant Cream Primer is a fantastic option for the summertime. Unlike other many other face primers, this one doesn’t leave your face feeling slimy or greasy. Its cream-based texture absorbs into skin very well. Additionally, this primer contains SPF 15. It’s a great thing to have when you’re going to be out in the sun for long stretches of time.

Philosophy “Amazing Grace” shampoo, bath, and shower gel – With its fresh, clean scent, the Amazing Grace shampoo, bath, and shower is one of my all-time favorite products from Philosophy. In order for a body wash to constitute as great in my book, it has to have a nice smell and give skin a refreshing feel. This one manages to do both of those things. What’s also cool about this product is that it works as a bath gel and a shampoo. I’ve only used it as a shower gel, but given how positive that experience has been, I imagine it works just as well.

NYX “Creme Brulee” butter gloss – If you’ve been following along with this blog for a while, you might know that the NYX butter glosses are some of my absolute favorites. I am not typically a lip gloss person, but these are an exception. They are so lovely and so affordable. If you like (or even kind of like) lip gloss and are on a budget, this would be my recommendation!

Bareminerals Glimpse Eyeshadow in “Cupcake” – I feel like I could just write “pigmentation” in all caps here and get my message across perfectly. When I initially swatched this eyeshadow, I was blown away by how strong the color was. Usually I end up having to apply a few layers of an eyeshadow before I can get it to the color of my liking, but that isn’t the case with this one. It’s a little bit more sparkly than I would like, but overall it’s a great find. Since getting it, I’ve had such a fun time creating and experimenting with different eye looks.

Clinique Eyeshadow Quad – I don’t think the exact Clinique eyeshadow quad that I have pictured here is still available, but the one I’ve linked is very similar. Clinique eyeshadows are awesome, and I feel as though they tend to get overlooked. The colors in this quad work really well together. It’s a good mix of shimmers and mattes. I think I will be sticking with this one for a while now.

Anyway, that’s all I’ve got for you today! Thank you so much for reading!

  2. I had the NYX Butter Gloss for awhile, and for some reason I just never wore them until recently. Normally, I’m not a fan of glosses but the formula on the butter glosses is so nice. I love wearing them! The Clinique Quad is so pretty! I’ve definitely got to look more into that along with the Bare Minerals Shadow. Bare Minerals always get’s it right. I have a few Philosophy products, but I’ve never tried ‘Amazing Grace’ I’ll have to look into it. Sounds lovely. Great post! (:
