My Week In Instagram Photos

Instagram is a platform that I continue to love even though it frustrates me. Despite the constant algorithm changes that leave me all sorts of confused (seriously, does anyone know what’s going on anymore?!?) and the follow/unfollow nonsense, I really enjoy taking and sharing photos.

Today I thought I would do an Instagram roundup. I have seen a ton of bloggers do this, but I have never actually done one myself. Now seemed like as good a time as ever to give it a try.

While we are on the topic of Instagram, I would LOVE for us to connect on there if we aren’t already! Anyway, here’s a quick look at everything I posted on Instagram this week!

Sunday

I got back from my NYC trip late Sunday afternoon, so I decided to share a photo from my Stripes, Shorts, and Sunglasses OOTD post. I usually share a couple of pictures from my fashion posts on Instagram, providing they fit with my feed. I must admit I am one of those people who fuss about making sure that each and every photo fits well together. I used to have a theme. Then, I got rid of it. Then, I brought it back again. I don’t know. I am just very indecisive about the whole thing.

Anyway, this photo worked pretty well with the color scheme I have going on my Instagram. I did a little bit of basic editing and posted it.

Monday

I spent some time going through my vacation photos Monday, so I decided to post this one I took at the New York City Public Library. This is an absolutely beautiful building both inside and out. You can’t see it from this photo, but the inside is all tall archways, marble floors, and ornate light fixtures. Basically a blogger’s fantasy.

I love the pillars and the details on the outside, so this was the image I chose to post. If you are ever visiting NYC, let me tell you a stop at the library should be on your itinerary.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, I decided to share another trip photo. This time from my time in Chicago. This was taken right outside the Chicago Tribune. I was having a lot of fun shopping and walking around the city, and when I passed by the Tribune, I stopped for a quick picture. One of the coolest things about the Tribune building is that the outside walls contain stones and bricks from various famous places and structures. As you can see here, I am standing right next to a piece from Edinburgh Castle in Scotland. It was kind of neat to look around and see all the different structures that appeared there.

Wednesday

For Wednesday’s Instagram, I chose to post a a flat lay from my recent June favorites. You can probably tell from my blog that I adore marble and the color robin’s egg blue, so I like to incorporate them into my feed as much as humanely possible.

Thursday

Thursday’s post was another vacation one. I took this shot while I was in Chicago. I thought it worked well with the colorful vibe I had going on.

Friday

To finish out the week, I put up this picture of a magnificent milkshake from Dylan’s Candy Bar. I don’t know about you, but I cannot resist a good food picture. Especially if it’s a dessert picture. Honestly, who doesn’t want delicious looking items appearing in their Instagram feed?
