Today I wore one of my go-to warm weather outfits, so I figured it would be fun to quickly share it with you all. Now that the weather is all sunny and beautiful, I have found myself getting more and more excited about fashion posts here on Currently, Lately. Hopefully you will see a lot more of this sort of stuff in the coming months.
Believe it or not, this is a romper, not a dress. Everyone who sees initially seems to think that it is a dress, and, yes, I mean EVERYONE. Myself included. When I bought this romper a little while back, I got all the way home before I realized it wasn’t actually a dress. Fortunately I am a big fan of rompers, so I wasn’t too unhappy when I discovered my mistake.
Anyway, this romper is made out of a stretchy cotton material. It is light, airy, and breathable, making it a great piece to wear on warmer days. In addition, the flowiness (not a real word, but you know what I mean) makes the romper really comfortable. While it looks stylish and dressy, it actually feels like you are wearing nothing more than a t-shirt and cotton shorts.
Another thing I love about this piece is the mock neck. I tend to wear a good amount of mock neck tops and dresses in the fall, but I rarely find ones that I like wearing in the summer. That being said, this one is right up my alley. A fun way to incorporate the mock neck trend into summer.
Of course, I CANNOT do this post without mentioning how much I adore the pattern. Red roses are so fitting for late spring/early summer, when all the flowers are still blooming. I adore this look for sunny afternoons and evenings.
