I’m bringing back my monthly goals feature for the second time this year, and I know what you’re probably thinking.
Didn’t you say you were going to abandon this in 2017?
I did. And for what I thought was good reason. To me, it started to feel like my monthly goals were getting repetitive. Almost like I was rewriting the same post every month.
Nevertheless, I missed writing these posts (at least during the one month I didn’t write one, lol). I’ve become attached to this feature. And I’m not quite sure that I’m ready to let it go.
And at the same time, I’m not officially ready to bring it back. On a trial basis? Maybe. But on a regular month-to-month basis? I don’t know.
I’m conflicted. It’s a ridiculous thing to be conflicted about, I know. Whatever. I digress.
These are a few goals that I’m hoping to set in motion for the upcoming month:
Take my dog on more walks
If you live in a climate zone similar to mine, late March is typically the time when the weather begins to break. Sometimes it doesn’t, and we end up with snow till mid April. But most of the time, you can count on the last week of March to feel a bit like spring.
Since the weather will (hopefully) be getting warmer soon, I’d like to put in the effort to take my dog on more walks. She isn’t a big fan of the cold, so I’m thinking she’ll be happy to be out in the less frigid weather. Plus, a walk is always a great way to clear my head.
Start planning spring OOTD posts
Another wonderful thing about the upcoming changing of the seasons is that I’ll finally be able to shoot some spring OOTDs. One thing I’ve learned from this past winter is that I should never take the warm (or above freezing) weather for granted.
Shooting outfit posts can get really rough in the wintertime. Especially when you’re taking them in single digit temperatures. Picture me standing out in the freezing cold, smiling to hide the fact that my toes have gone numb. That’s basically what I’ve been doing in every OOTD post for the last three months…
You can expect a lot of spring fashion content headed your way in the near future. I honestly can’t wait to take photos in the sunshine.
Share some more essay-style posts
In February, I wrote a few essay-style posts that focused on personal experiences in both life and blogging. I enjoyed doing this type of writing on the blog again, as I hadn’t done it in a while. So, in the coming month, I’d like to do more of it. I think it’s a fun way to share what’s been on my mind lately. And it’s always exciting to read comments from those of you who have gone through or experience similar thoughts.
Eat healthier
Healthy eating is one of those generic goals most people set for themselves at the beginning of a new year, but quickly forget about as the year progresses. 2018 has been fairly busy for me thus far, which has caused me to totally forget about my plans to eat healthier this year.
By making healthy eating a goal for this month, my hope is that I am able to actually prioritize it. I’d like to make sure I’m eating a lot more fruits and drinking a lot more water. (If you have any good tips for how you remember to eat healthy, please leave them in the comments!)
Thank you for reading! Until next time.
What are some of your goals this month?

Hey Paige! Sometimes I feel the same way rewriting my goals monthly or daily, but it gives us a constant reminder of what we want to stay focused on! I’ve never done posts like this, but I enjoy reading yours, I might try it too!
