Riddle me this: Is there anything better than a good over-the-knee boot?

Answer: Of course not.

At this point, I know you all are probably sick and tired of me talking about over-the-knee boots. I practically spent an entire post raving about them last month, and then I did it again in my January favorites post.

But I really wanted to do a full post about the different ways to style these boots. I’ve done separate posts for each of these looks. But I really feel like wrapping them together in one conclusive post.

So, today I’m bringing you a guide to how I style my favorite pair of over-the-knee boots. I basically have three ways that I like to wear these boots. And any outfit that I put together is merely a variation of one of these three methods. I guess you could say this is my blueprint for styling over-the-knee boots.

Let’s jump right in, shall we?

The dress

Obviously the easiest way to wear over-the-knee boots is to pair them with a dress. This dress from my maroon OOTD is one of my go-tos. I love the look of the flow-y skirt with the skin tight boots. Plus, maroon is favorite color of mine for the wintertime.

The oversized top

This is currently my favorite way to style over-the-knee boots because it’s comfortable and stylish. It’s my personal belief that the best kind of outfits are ones that look well thought out but don’t actually require a ton of thinking. And that’s exactly what I got with this one. I threw on a cute flannel, leggings, and boots. And suddenly, I had a complete outfit.

The all-black look

I love an all-black ensemble. It’s sleek, classic, and simple. For this look, I went with a black-and-white striped top, paired with black leggings and the same black boots. The top has cutout shoulders, so I threw on this jean jacket for a bit of additional warmth.
