Do you ever go through a phase where you have one outfit that you want to wear all the time?
Well…right now, I’m going through one of those phases.
I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve worn this outfit at least five times in this past month alone. It’s bad, I know. But it’s cute and it’s comfortable, so I feel okay giving myself a pass.
This is probably one of the most simple outfits I’ve ever shared on the blog before, consisting of a simple flannel, black leggings, and over-the-knee boots.
But these boots. THESE BOOTS.
We have to talk about these boots.
I honestly can’t remember the last time I loved a pair of shoes as much as these.
These black over-the-knee boots have been my favorite thing since I got them in December. I practically wear them all the time. I kid you not. Even when I just lounging around the house, I’ve got them on my feet.
The boots are what really elevate this outfit for me. I feel like they take this look from a basic, lazy-day outfit to a stylish ensemble. They’re cute yet comfortable. And they make it seem like I tried really hard on this outfit (when in actuality, I didn’t try at all).
Of course, while the boots make the outfit, I have to fawn over this flannel a little bit as well. Because, well, THIS FLANNEL.
(You can tell I’ve had too much caffeine today by the amount of unnecessary capitalization in this post, can’t you?)
This flannel is one of the comfiest pieces of clothing that I’ve ever owned. The fabric is ultra-soft, and the fit is very loose. It’s basically a pajama top that socially acceptable to wear out in public.
I really love the look of the oversized flannel with the over-the-knee boots. I think the contrast between the slim-fit shoes and the large flannel makes the outfit interesting.
So, basically, this is all I wear right now. On occasion, I’ll substitute the flannel for another oversized top. But most of the time, this is it.
