The holidays are a good time of year…don’t get me wrong. But like anything in life, they also come with their downsides. I’m not trying to be a total downer here, but today I thought I would address some of the things about the holiday season that I don’t find wonderful.
Last minute shopping
The holidays have a way of sneaking up on you, and with that comes the need to holiday shop. I don’t know about you, but every year I always tell myself I’ll get my shopping done early. And without fail, every year I end up waiting till the last minute. I’m not typically a big procrastinator. But when it comes to holiday shopping, I find it hard not to be. As other responsibilities pop up, my need for buying gifts quickly falls off my list of priorities. Before I know it, it’s December 23rd, and I haven’t even finished half of my shopping.
It can be pretty stressful running around, trying to buy gifts for everyone on your list. Not only are you working on a tight deadline, you are also dealing with massive crowds at every store you go to. It can be pretty nightmarish.
Should I buy them a gift?
Another annoying thing about the holidays is trying to figure out who you should and shouldn’t be buying gifts for. We all have that person/those people who we aren’t particularly close with, but we feel we might need to buy something for. It could be a coworker or an acquaintance or a family member. The uncertainty of whether or not to get them a gift can sort of hang over you.

Because who wants to do that?
Driving in the icy weather
This one is mainly for people living in areas that experience chilly weather, but driving in the winter can be absolutely dreadful. Your brakes seem to barely work, your tires have no traction, and you can’t see out your windshield because of all the snow coming down. It’s certainly one of my least favorite things about this time of year.

Yes!! Driving in the Icy Weather!! It usually takes me about 45 minutes to get home from work everyday. But the other day it took me 2 freaking hours because of the snow! Ugh. lol. Snow is beautiful;…but it is not fun to drive it. And you’re right, who the hell wants to wrap gifts?! Lol. All and all- Happy Holidays!

I love wrapping gifts, it’s one of my favorite parts of the holidays. I’m normally not very crafty but it’s one thing that I know I can make Beautiful 😄
I agree about wondering if you need to buy someone a gift or not, that’s the worst!

I definitely don’t like driving in snow or even heavy rain. I am not a timid person, but I have been in a few scary hydroplaning accidents, so I get a fair amount of anxiety now. I also don’t really like the holidays because I am forced to spend time with parts of my family that I dislike. Oh well! haha.

YES. YES. YES. I actually tried this year and most of my shopping was done last month but even with extensive planning there’s STILL so much shopping that needs doing and I DON’T GET IT xx
