OOTD: Black and White and Lace All Over

Something you should know about me is that I wear a lot of black and white. In fact, if I had to guess, I would say a solid 60 percent of the outfits I wear are black and white.

I think a major reason why I love this color combination so much is that it is stylish yet effortless. Black-and-white outfits are so easy to put together, but they always look like they required meticulous planning. And that’s the dream, isn’t it? Wearing cute outfits without actually have to spend time figuring them out? I don’t know about you, but that sounds like a pretty incredibly scenario to me.

Anyway, I wore this black-and-white ensemble a few weeks ago, but I just realized I never shared it here on the blog. So, when I found the photos sitting in my camera roll, I figured I would write up a simple OOTD post for today’s installment of Blogmas!

For my top, I went with this white lace sweater. As soon as I saw this piece, I fell in love with the sleeves. They have this loose, flow-y vibe to them that reminds me of bell bottoms (but in a cute way lol)! And the floral lace detailing gives it a sophisticated touch.

As for my skirt, I wore this simple black bandage skirt that I believe I picked up for less than $8 on a clearance rack at Macy’s. (Nothing’s better than a good deal, right?!) I liked the look of the form-fitting skirt with the loose-fitting top. I think the two pieces contrast one other really well and ultimately create the fun, dressy look I was going for.

To finish the outfit off, I added this chunky pearl necklace that you may recognize from OOTDs past. This is another clearance piece from Macy’s, so I don’t think it’ll be available anymore. However, I’m sure any long necklace would work well without an outfit like this.

What are your favorite colors to wear?
