Products That I’m Currently Loving

It feels like it’s been a while since I’ve sat down and written a post about my current beauty favorites, so today I thought I would do just that! Recently I’ve fallen and re-fallen in love with some different products and rather than wait till the end of the month to do a favorites post, I wanted share them with you all now.

The first product that I’d like to discuss is the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer. This is one of the very first concealers that I ever purchased and it’s one that I find myself returning to even now. It’s really inexpensive and it manages to do a good job of covering up dark circles and blemishes. Plus, I love that it comes with a wand applicator. Wands make it a lot easier for me to control how much product I use, which, in turn, makes my products last a whole lot longer. I love that I can get the exact amount of product that I need every single time.

Another concealer that I’ve been using lately has been the MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. I cannot stress how much I love this product! The Pro Longwear Concealer has the best coverage of any concealer that I’ve ever used. It keeps blemishes concealed all day, regardless of sweat or humidity. Also, if you’re prone to dry skin like me, you don’t have to worry about it clinging to dry patches.

As far as eyeshadow goes, one palette that I’ve been consistency reaching for has been the It Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Palette. As you would expect from the name, the eyeshadows in this palette are wonderful for achieving natural eye looks, but they work perfectly fine for more dramatic looks as well. My favorite shades in the palette are “Soulful,” (a soft taupe) “Love,” (a matte cream) and “All Heart” (a matte brown). Essentially, I’ve been using these three shadows for the entire month. I really love how pigmented and blendable they are. The colors you see in the palette translate really well on skin.

Also in eyeshadow, I rediscovered an old favorite of mine: the Clinique All About Shadow Quad. This little compact contains four shimmery, neutral eyeshadows. The shadows are amazingly pigmented. When I took swatches of these shadows, I was astonished by how vibrant they were. Clinique eyeshadows are definitely underrated.

While I haven’t strayed from my all-time favorite brow pencil (Anastasia Beverly Hill’s Brow Wiz), I have been using the Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Eyebrow Gel  recently. This is a great brow for when you’re running late and don’t have the time to do a complete makeup look. Using the little wand, you simply comb the product over your brows and go about your day. It’s very convenient and easy for travel.

Rimmel London’s”Bordeaux” lipstick was a fall staple of mine last year and has been this fall as well. The lipstick is a deep shade of burgundy that works wonderfully for fall. I love pairing it with a shimmery eyeshadow and simple cat eye.

This next item is unfortunately discontinued, but I’ve been using is so much that I wanted to include it anyway. The Elizabeth Arden Shimmer Cream Sparkling Sand is a fantastic highlighter/illuminator. It gives off a stunning, glow-y shimmer that I love to apply to my cheekbones and cupid’s bow.

That concludes this addition of my current beauty must-haves! I really like writing posts like this because it allows me to sort of document my beauty routine. It’s fun to look back at these and see how much my makeup preferences have changed. Anyways, thank you so much for reading!

What are some of your current beauty favorites?

Sincerely,

  1. I absolutely love reading all things makeup! Is that concealer good for layering on top of foundation? Because I hate it when it gets super patchy and gross over foundation haha! This is fab btw 🙂 xx

  2. I love that NYX concealer! A lot of concealers tend to dry out my face, and it’s super hydrating! I’m also shocked to find out that the MAC one doesn’t cling to dry patches!
