Monthly Goals: October 2017

I’m sitting at my desk and trying to write this post, but I’m having the hardest time because I honestly cannot believe that it’s already October. Writing these monthly goals posts have definitely made me realize how quickly time goes by. I really don’t know where the year has gone!

Anyways, here are my goals for the month of October. A few of these may be repeats, but I really want to make sure I achieve them before the year ends!

1. Drink more water

I know for a fact that I’ve made this a goal of mine in the past, but it’s one that I always need to work on. I’ve had a lot going on in my life lately, which hasn’t made it any easier. When I’m busy, I seem to forget that drinking water is a necessity to life. It baffles me that people are supposed to drink eight cups per day. Does anyone actually remember to do that? Anyways, the only drink I end up wanting during stressful and chaotic times is coffee, but I know it’s a poor choice that leaves me dehydrated. Drinking water has so many health benefits, especially for your skin. And since winter is coming up soon, which means my skin is going to be extremely dry, I figure it’s best if I start drinking more water now.

2. Stay organized

I’ve always placed a pretty big value on organization. Staying organized and budgeting my time is what has helped me balance blogging on top of everything else that I have going on. That being said, one of my biggest focuses this October is to stay organized. Business can definitely make it difficult to keep up with organization. Since I’m juggling a lot of different things at the moment, I want to make sure that my hectic schedule doesn’t allow me to lost sight of the importance of staying organized.

3. Find some new, inexpensive blog props

Every now and then, I like to change up my staple blog props. If I don’t get new ones, I often feel like my flatlays look too repetitive. Plus, new props never fail to get me excited to take photos. This month, I’d really like to pick up some new and inexpensive items. Blog photography can get pretty expensive, so it’s always helpful to find things that look good without costing much. Hopefully I’ll be able to find some props that meet both of these criteria.

4. Try some new recipes

I really enjoy trying new recipes so that I can share them on this blog, so another thing I’ll be focusing on this month is finding the time to bake. I always love to read cooking blogs and since the holidays are coming up in the next couple of months, it seems like a great time to start writing more recipe posts. Let me know if there’s a particular dish you’d like to see!

That concludes my goals for the month of October! As always, thank you for reading.

What are some of your goals for this month? Also, did you meet your goals for last month?

Sincerely,

  1. I definitely want to find some blog props as well! Thank you for sharing this post. Once of my goals is to also invest in cute autumnal clothes, but I have to wait until I get home, because here in Hong Kong, it’s always summer!
