A Small Beauty Haul

Feeling sort of conversational today, I thought it would be fun to write a chatty haul post for you all! I posted a short haul  back in July and it was honestly one of my favorite posts to put together. I love how hauls have a fun, informal vibe to them. Plus, I love being able to talk about the products that have been catching my eye in some of my favorite stores.

Anyways, today I’m bringing you all a collective beauty haul. I’ve done a bit of shopping at Sephora and Ulta over the last month or so, and writing a haul makes me feel like something productive comes out of my shopping. Right now, I think that I want to start putting up hauls more frequently. As I said in my previous haul post, I don’t do a lot of shopping all at once. I prefer to make purchases more gradually. But I feel like I do enough shopping to put one up every couple of months. I’m not sure whether or not it’ll work out, but at the moment that’s my current plan.

The first few items that I picked up were from Sephora. I had a gift card for Sephora sitting in my wallet for quite a while now. I was hesitant over what exactly to do with it, but I finally decided that it was time to pick something up.

I went online and order the full-size version of the Tarteguard 20 Tinted Moisturizer in the shade “Light.” For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been loving this tinted moisturizer for a few months now. I received a sample of it in my June Sephora Play Box  and it became my go-to face product over the summer. When I ran out of the sample, I was really indecisive about whether or not to make the splurge because the full-size bottle costs more than I would typically spend on foundation or tinted moisturizer. Since I had the gift card, though, I thought it would be worthwhile. I love the formula of this product. It doesn’t get oily or cakey or feel too heavy on my face. I have pretty dry skin and this is one of the few face products that doesn’t cling to the dry patches. The coverage is minimal, but if you’re looking for something sheer and lightweight, it’s a great buy.

The next item I purchased was a repurchase of my go-to eyebrow pencil, which is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. I’ve talked about my love for this product far too many times on here, so I won’t delve into too much detail. All I will say is that I think this is the best brow product on the market and I highly recommend it!

When I ordered these products, Sephora had a promotion going on online for beauty insiders. If you spent over $25, you received a deluxe sample for free. (I’m not sure if this is something that goes on all the time by the way. Usually I’m not an online shopper!) Anyways, I got a sample of the Urban Decay Meltdown Makeup Remover Dissolving Spray. I’d actually had my eye on this product for a little while, so I was very excited to try the sample. Unfortunately, if you read my review  a while back, it didn’t turn out as well as I had hoped.

I did a bit of shopping at Ulta as well. While I was there, I picked up one of the Revlon Color Stay Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. (Can we talk about that name for a second? It’s amazing they were able to fit all of that on the tube). I wanted a fun lip color to throw in my bag, so I picked this one up. The one that I purchased is a deep shade of purple that I think will be perfect for the wintertime. At Ulta, I also bought a new EOS Smooth Sphere Lip Balm. Like many people, I have quite a few of these balms floating around at the bottom of my bag. They smell lovely and provide long-lasting moisture.

With that, I’ve talked about everything I’ve purchased makeup-wise in the last month or so! I know this wasn’t a huge haul, but I really wanted to share what I’ve been buying with you all. I’m off to go for a run and then maybe spend some time on social media. I hope you all are having a wonderful day!

What are some of your most recent purchases?

  1. Reading this just reminds me how desperately I need to go repurchase a brow wiz! I’ve been trying to get by on this old elf kit I’ve had for years, but nothing works quite like Anastasia. Great post, I might have to check out that tinted moisturizer!

  2. I’m a very picky person when it comes to tinted moisturizers or BB creams but that Tarte one looks and sounds amazing! Definitely going to give it a try! xx
