A Collective Haul (Makeup, Fashion, Etc.)

I haven’t done many haul posts in the past. Truthfully, I’m more of a one item at a time kind of shopper rather than someone who buys a bunch of things all at once. While that’s probably a good thing for my wallet, it definitely makes it hard for me to do any sort of sizable haul. And I can’t justify calling something a haul post if it only includes one or two items. Nevertheless, I bought a few things over the last couple of months and wanted to share them with you all. This may not be as long as a conventional haul post, but I thought it would be fun.

Anyways, let’s get into the post!

The first thing I picked was this navy blue swan notebook from HomeGoods. I’ve been trying to find a link for this item for at least fifteen minutes, but can’t seem to locate it anywhere. Turns out if you type the words swan notebook + navy blue into your search engine, you end up finding a lot of picture from that one scene in the movie The Notebook where Noah and Allie are on a lake surrounded by swans haha, so this was the best I could do. I really fun how fun, colorful, and stylish this notebook is and I think it’ll make a wonderful blog prop. Be prepared to see it in a lot of upcoming flatlays!

My next purchase was this interesting chevron V-neck top from Macy’s. This top is made from a spandex-like material, which is comfortable and really fantastic for summertime. I believe I’ll get a lot of use out of it over the next several months. It seems like a good shirt for running errands or doing blog work. I always want to be comfy when I’m working on a new post, so this will probably be a great fit!

At Macy’s, I also picked up this cute black dress from the brand Derek Heart. Believe it or not, I found this little number on a clearance rack for under $9! I love how stylish and casual the dress is. The black and white crop top underneath adds a really cool feel. It’s a maxi dress, which I don’t particularly care for, but I’m planning to have it altered so it falls right above the knee. I think this would look great with flats or a pair of black converse. I love finding pieces like this one that look casual yet put together. By the way, does this give anyone else major 90s vibes?

Up next is the Josie Maran Lip Sting Plumping Butter, which you may recognize from some shots that I posted in June. I am so in love with this lip butter’s reflective rose gold packaging. I swear the people who designed this product must have had flatlays in mind. It has that sleek, simple, and beautiful look that I’m always looking for in product. Plus, the lipstick itself has such a lovely color. I’m a little apprehensive about the whole plumping thing because I generally dislike plumpers. However, even if I end up not using the product, I know that I’ll still incorporate it into flatlays.

July is birthday month for me, which means I was able to pick up a few freebies at some of my favorite stores. At Ulta, the current birthday gift is a Happy Birthday palette from NYX. I haven’t had the chance to use the eyeshadows yet because I got the palette just yesterday, but they look stunning. I think it’s really wonderful that Ulta is giving out full-size palettes. Plus, NYX happens to be one of my favorite drugstore brands. While I was at Ulta, I also picked up a fresh copy of my go-to eyeliner, which is the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. I’ve talked about this product quite a lot on here, so this probably comes as no surprise. It’s definitely something that I always have to have in my makeup bag. (If you want to read more about it, I wrote a whole post on my favorite high-end eyeliners in March).

I received my Sephora birthday gift, too, which is a Tarte lip paint and blush combo. I haven’t gotten around to using the blush, but so far I’ve enjoyed the lip paint. Although it’s a bit dry, the formula lasts all day. It’s a very pretty shade of muted pink.

Anyways, that concludes this little haul! I really enjoyed doing this and I felt like it was a cool way of showing you all everything that I’m currently into. Let me know if you’d like to see more haul-type posts in the future. They’ll likely be short ones like this, but I would be happy to do more.

What are some of your most recent purchases?

Sincerely,
