Monthly Goals: June 2017

Now that it’s June, it’s time for fresh new goals! I’ve really been looking forward to writing this post, because there are a lot of things that I want to accomplish this month and doing this makes it a lot easier for me to follow through with them.

1. Write some blog posts in advance

Right now, I’m in a place where I have a lot of time for blogging, which is great because it makes it easier for me to consistently produce content. But in the coming months, I know that my schedule is going to drastically change and I’d like to be prepared for that. While I generally prefer writing and immediately publishing (I’m literally writing this an hour and a half before I’m scheduling it to go up), I know that won’t be practical when I’ve got more things going on in my life. That being said, my biggest goal this month is to write a bunch of blog posts in advance. I figure doing this will help de-stress me in the future, as well as ensure that I always have content to post.

2. Take some blog photos in advance

Similar to the first goal, I really would like to take the free time that I have and use it to stock up on some blog photos. The skies have been pretty sunny lately, which is perfect for blog photography. I want to capture and edit as many photos as I can in the next month.

3. Maintain my Instagram color scheme

Recently, I decided that I wanted to try having an Instagram color scheme. So far, it’s been a lot harder than I anticipated. (You don’t realize how few items you own in one color until it’s the only color you need!) Anyways, despite how annoying (and honestly unnecessary) maintaining an Instagram color scheme is, I’m really happy with how clean and uniform it looks. Hopefully I’ll be able to continue finding products that work with my color scheme.

4. Spend time outdoors

Now that the weather has finally brightened up, I want to make the time to be outdoors. I’ve always been a warm weather person, so I’d like to take advantage of it while it’s here. Even if I’m just outside doing simple things like reading, writing blog posts, or editing photos, I’ll be happy with it.

5. Invest in a good coffee maker

Lately, I’ve really been thinking about investing in a nice coffee maker. (There’s a Keurig that I’ve been eyeing over these past few weeks, but I haven’t made any definitive decisions.) However, by the end of this month, I’m hoping to have decided on something. Getting a new coffee maker has always been one of those things that I say I’m going to do, but never actually follow through with. Maybe this month will be different.

6. Develop a better sleep schedule

Maintaining a consistent sleep schedule is something that I’ve had trouble with for as long as I can remember. I can never seem to get myself to fall asleep at a decent hour when I have early mornings, which makes it much harder to be energetic and productive (coffee can only do so much). I’d really like to be getting a full eight hours every night, though I know it will be hard to achieve.

What are some of your goals for June?

Sincerely,

  2. I love your goals this month. I’m also trying to plan my posts more to make blogging life a little easier. I also want to organize my Instagram somehow, is still trying to keep posting consistently first

  3. It’s been so nice to be outside again now that there’s sunshine! I’m in North Dakota, so I am seriously savoring the sun right now Ha. One of my fav things to do is take a quick walk after work or right after dinner (it’s still sunny out at like 9pm). I am a huge coffee lover too & use a French press for my morning coffee. Have you tried one of those before? I had never tried one until a couple years ago, and now I think it tastes so much better than Keurig coffee :)) Good luck with your June goals!

    1. I know right! The sunshine always puts me in a good mood. Taking a walk is such a great idea! I’ll have to make time for me to do the same thing. And North Dakota seems like such a cool state! I’ve always wanted to travel there. I’ll have to try a French press! I’ve never tried one before, but now that I’ve read some reviews on them they seem really awesome!

      1. Omg the walks have been a real life saver — such a good way to recharge. And the French press we have is some random one from bed bath & beyond, I think. The brand is Bonjour & we have the 8cup maker. Talk to you soon :))
