I have a very conflicting relationship with favorites posts. I love to read other bloggers’, but I have a difficult time writing my own. I guess that you could say I’m a creature of habit because I don’t change my must-haves up very often. If I were to stick to a schedule and post a favorites piece every single month, chances are it would be a lot of repeated items.
Despite having not enough new favorites to do a monthly post, I would like to do a collection of favorites every now and then. I think these posts are great way to share a little bit more about myself and it’s nice to give a little praise to the things that I’ve been loving.
Quotable Women: A Collection of Shared Thoughts – If you read my “Why You Should Tackle Monday Mornings” post, then this title may sound familiar. This little book contains quotes from powerful women throughout history, ranging from writers to scientists to politicians to entertainers. Lately I’ve found it to be a great source of inspiration. The quotes cover a wide variety of topics and offer insight into some of the most important parts of life. I love to flip through it in my free time.
It Cosmetics Heavenly Luxe No-Tug Dual Eyeshadow #5 – I’m not normally one to spend big on brushes. In fact, the majority of mine are from the drugstore. But lately I’ve been loving this It Cosmetics eyeshadow brush. Its bristles are soft and smooth, making for easy application. In addition, it blends very well, particularly on the brow bone and crease. I’ve been using it frequently with their Naturally Pretty palette. I guess you could say that It Cosmetics is one of my favorites.
Marvin the Owl Measuring Spoons – If you’ve followed this blog for a while, chances are you know about my love for owls. Naturally, when I spotted these adorable measuring spoons at Pier 1, I was ecstatic. They tie together with a cloth string, which makes them easy to store. Plus, they are currently on clearance.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz – I know for a fact that I’ve talked about my love for Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Brow Wiz before, but it’s so fantastic that I have to do it again. This pencil has been a staple of mine for years. Several years ago, before bold brows were trendy, I went through a phase where I tweezed off the majority of my eyebrows.Words cannot accurately convey how bad they looked. I’m shuddering even at the memory. Anyways, this pencil is what saved me during that dark period and I still use it today. It’s great at covering up sparse areas and looks incredibly natural.
Doll 10 Aqua Gel Eyeliner – Recently I’ve been going for subtle eyeliner looks. Gliding this pencil across my waterline is just about all that I’ve been doing as of late. It’s simple and quick, which is exactly what I need on busy mornings. Plus, the formula is very long-lasting.
What are your current favorites?
Sincerely,
Paige
I agree with you I could never do a monthly favourites! I don’t know how people can use up so many different products! I use the same old things constantly haha 🙈x
