I’m not going to sugarcoat it: Mondays are the worst.
They are excruciatingly long, mind-numbingly boring, and signify yet another week of tedious activity. All we want to do on Monday mornings is crawl back into bed.
The biggest problem with Mondays, however, isn’t the tiredness we feel. It’s the excuses that they allow us to create. Over the weekend, I stumbled upon this little book entitled “Quotable Women.” It’s highly inspiring and I recommend checking it out if you get the chance. While I was skimming through, I found an interesting quote that I think pretty much sums up my feelings on the subject of Monday morning blues:
“I don’t wait for moods. You accomplish nothing if you do that. Your mind must know it has got to get down to Earth”

Ever since I read this quote, the idea behind it has really resonated with me. It made me realize how easy it is to put off your goals with phrases like “I’m so tired” or “I’m not in the mood.” Excuses are very simple to come by, especially on Monday mornings. That’s why I’m sharing this message today, hoping that it will help you push past your Monday morning blues in order to accomplish something. We shouldn’t wait for when it’s the most convenient to get things done. We should focus on getting things done right now in this very moment.
Even if you aren’t feeling up to work, try to push yourself to do it anyway. If you’re striving for success in your worst moments, then you’ll definitely be doing it at your best. Always keep your goals in mind and remember to challenge yourself. Success requires us to work even when we don’t want to, even when it’s easier to cave into flimsy excuses. Be relentless. Be ambitious. Be the person who you aspire to be.
