One thing that most people tend to struggle with in the frigid winter months is dry skin. When the weather outside is cold and windy, it causes the moisture in skin to evaporate, making it feel very dry and stiff. Since it’s the winter season where I live, I’ve been looking for products to help my skin combat the challenges of the cold. This item, the Basin White Solid Moisturizer , is the latest of my trials.
Basin, in case you aren’t familiar with it, is a bath and beauty company quite like Lush. While I’ve never actually been to a Basin store, I’ve browsed their products and seen many similarities between the two brands.
The best way for me to describe this moisturizer is to compare it to a bar of soap. It’s relative in size and has a refreshing, clean scent. Essentially, what you do with this product is hold it in your palms and allow it to almost melt into your skin. You can also massage it over your arms and legs. Just like a bar of soap.
I really love the packaging of this product. It comes in a little shoe box-style container that is very convenient for storage and travel. The bar itself has a paper wrapping around it, so you don’t have to worry about the product seeping through or melting into the box.
Another thing I’d like to highlight is this moisturizer’s ingredient’s list. I always hate picking up an item that contains chemicals or ingredients I’ve never heard of. This product is composed of pronounceable ingredients, which I found to be a relief. It’s good to know that you aren’t putting anything harmful on your body.
I found the effects of this moisturizer to be wonderful. The product does a good job of hydrating dry skin patches, leaving them soft and silky. While the formula was a tad sticky, I definitely felt like it had rejuvenated my skin. From my experience, it works best on hands, though it was also nice for elbows and arms.
Thank you so much for reading.
