I’ve mentioned before that I’m not a fan of new year’s resolutions. I feel like devoting an entire year to a handful of goals makes it easy to forget them or push them aside. Instead I prefer to set monthly goals for myself. I think this helps me keep track of what I hope to accomplish and actually go through with it.
This month I decided I would share my goals in the hope that it will keep pace with them. Depending on how successful I am, this may become a monthly ritual on my blog.
Write at least four blog posts a week: Having done a daily post for Blogmas, I feel like I should be able to accomplish this without much difficulty. I love creating posts and want to start off the new year with a lot of them.
Workout 4-5 nights a week: Working out has always distressed me, so hopefully I’ll be able to stick to a schedule.
Read at least five books: This one is pretty self-explanatory. I love reading and I believe this is a reasonable amount of novels to go through in the month of January.
Eat healthier: This is such a cliche goal to have for the first month of a new year, but I promise it’s been a plan of mine for awhile. I really want to make healthy eating a priority of mine.
Write in my agenda: Pictured in this post in my gorgeous new agenda for 2017! I hope I end up using it, but I can see myself forgetting about it in the coming weeks.
Thank you for reading. I wish you all a happy new year!
What are your goals for the month?
Sincerely,
Paige
I love this idea! If I had to set monthly goals, it would be to read 1 new fiction and 1 new nonfiction book this month (I already bought them), get in 3 glasses of water a day, and put more money into savings than I spend on makeup this month. 😀

Great job with the goals! I think people who give up on their resolutions think too long-term and broad without any shorter goals/checkpoints. I hope you accomplish these goals! I want to develop a more consistent posting schedule, drink more water and less coffee, and floss.

I’ve just started my blog and was wondering how many posts did you start with a week, as you are saying to write at least 4 a week as your goal!! I’m new to all of this and don’t want to overwhelm myself haha. Lovely post xxx

i would recommend starting with two a week! It can be a little overwhelming at first, but once you get into the habit of it, you’ll be fine 🙂

Thank for visiting me at http://www.foxpineshomestead.com and now I have visited you! I totally agree -having goals (and writing them down) is important, and mine are very similar to yours. Get my blog up and going with more followers, writing at least twice a week, I always read, and every year I try to do something to be healthier!
Great job and an inspiration to keep going!
