Blogmas #18: Benefit “Gimme Brow” Review

Hey everyone!

As you probably know, Benefit released a brand new brow collection a few months ago. I recently got my hands on a couple of samples from the line and have tested them out. Today I’ll be sharing my thoughts on “Gimme Brow.” (I also have tried the “BROWVO!” conditioning primer, so if you’d like to read my impressions of that just let me know).

Product Details (Per Benefit’s Website):

Our cult-favorite gimme brow tinted eyebrow gel contains tiny microfibers that adhere to skin & hairs, creating natural-looking fullness and definition. The custom, tiny tapered brush blends easily while the precision tip shapes hairs into place

Price: $24

Size: 0.1 oz

Available Shades: light, medium, and deep.

When I first opened up “Gimme Brow,” I’ll admit I was a little bit disappointed by the size. To me, $24 seems steep for only 0.1 oz of product, especially when there are similar products on the market that contain more and cost less. I quickly got over this disappointment, however, when I removed the brush. I really love the mascara-style wand. It has small fibers that comb over your eyebrows for great coverage. It’s also the perfect length for sweeping over your brows without getting all over face.

Another feature of this product that I thoroughly appreciate is its simplicity. It’s great for mornings when you’re running late and don’t have time to slave over your makeup. With one stroke, “Gimme Brow” is able to cover up sparse areas for sculpted, fuller-looking eyebrows. You don’t have to spend time filling in each individual spot. Depending on the type of eyebrows you have, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. If you only have a small section of brow to fill in, “Gimme Brow” may not be very effective. For me, on the other hand, it worked well.

Now I haven’t tried out many gel eyebrow products, but I really like the formula of this one. It holds my eyebrows in place all day while retaining their color and shape. I use the medium shade for my brows, and it looks very natural.

Overall, I was pretty pleased with “Gimme Brow.” I really do hope that Benefit decides to expand the color choices for this product though. It would be nice if there were a few more options.

Thank you so much for reading. Have you tried out “Gimme Brow” before?

Sincerely yours,

Paige

  1. I also own this but I must admit that I don’t use it as much as I probably should. It’s something I use for much more of a simple natural brow when I have no time to do them properly
