So I’ve seen dozens of these “how much is my face worth” posts scattered across the blogosphere these past few weeks and, naturally, I wanted to join in. I feel like this idea was designed as some strange psychoanalysis to get us makeup lovers to question our entire existences. Regardless of its intent, I’ve decided to participate.
I don’t have a set, day-to-day beauty regime, so I scoured through my makeup bag to find the items I use the most. I’ll have them all link in case you’re interested in checking them out.
Rimmel London Natural Bronzer ($4.99)
Maybelline Great Lash Mascara ($5.99)
Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm ($4.99)
Quite a few products, I know. I only use this many if I’m doing a full-face of makeup, which, depending upon my laziness, may or may not end up happening.
And now for the grand total…(I’m doing a mental drumroll)
Wow. That’s a lot of money. Money I’m applying to my face. Makeup really is a strange concept when you think about it.
After seeing this total, I think I might refrain from large makeup purchases for awhile. Hopefully this will help me make use of items I already have.
Thank you so much for reading. This post, albeit startling, was fun to write. How much does your face cost? Let me know in the comments below.
Be sure to check back for tomorrow’s blog post. I’ll be blogging every day until the 25th.
Also, don’t forget to check me out on social media! If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, leave a comment letting me know this post directed you. I’ll be sure to follow you back 🙂
