My Perfume Collection

Hello all!

Today I was having a difficult time deciding what to post. On one hand, I wanted to write something beauty-related. On the other hand, I wanted to do something related to my personal style. To meet these two topics in the middle, I came up with an idea that encompassed both: a look into my perfume collection. I thought this post would be a good way to share my love of beauty along with my personal taste.

One thing I adore about fragrances is that they look great on display. The bright colors and interesting bottles add an extra sense of sophistication to any bedroom or bathroom. To showcase my perfumes, I made this cake stand-like display. I used a patterned glass plate and candle holder, both of which I purchased at the dollar store. Yep. That’s right. I paid a whooping $2 for this stand. It was so easy and so inexpensive.

Now that I’ve covered the display, it’s time to go through the fragrances themselves. Here’s a list of everything on the stand (note that not all are full-size):

  • “Dot” by Marc Jacobs
  • “Warm Vanilla Sugar” by Bath & Body Works
  • “Mad About You” by Bath & Body Works
  • “Girlfriend” by Justin Bieber
  • “Sea Cotton Island” by Bath & Body Works
  • “Enchanted Wonderstruck” by Taylor Swift
  • “Paris Amour” by Bath & Body Works
  • “Coconut Lime” by Body Raves
  • “Vanilla Cupcake” by Sheer Delights
  • “Pink Sweet Pea Fantasy” by Body Fantasies
  • “Cucumber Melon” by Bath & Body Works
  • “Sophisticated & Sensual” by Aromachology
  • “Pretty Rotten” by TokyoMilk Dark

I’m not going to write a detailed description for each one of these fragrances, because I don’t have a strong opinion about many of them. However, I am going to highlight my favorites.

One of my absolute favorite perfumes of all-time is “Dot” by Marc Jacobs. I’m not normally one who enjoys strong, overpowering fragrances; they usually make my head throb. But there’s something refreshing about this perfume. It’s not as aggressive as most high-end scents. Swirling with jasmine, vanilla, driftwood, and notes of fresh coconut water, this gem is perfect for a night-out. I’d highly recommend giving it a go.

Since I own several body mists from Bath & Body Works, I thought I would discuss their different scents. Pictured are four fragrances: “Mad About You,” “Paris Amour,” “Cucumber Melon,” and “Sea Cotton Island.” I think it’s best to split these scents into two categories (a lot of number talk, yikes): subtle and strong. If it isn’t obvious from their titles, the subtle fragrances are “Cucumber Melon” and “Sea Cotton Island.” Because they’re fun, light, and airy, I love to wear them days out. The strong mists, “Mad About You” and “Paris Amour” are better-suited for evening occasions. I particularly enjoy “Mad About You,” which was Bath & Body Work’s Valentine’s Day fragrance a couple of years back. With notes of strawberry, ginger lily, and pink jasmine, this scent is the perfect blend of excitement and elegance.

Thank you so much for checking out my perfume collection. If you’d be interested in seeing another collection of mine (makeup, candles, sanitizers, shoes), let me know in the comments.

In other news, this blog is only thirty followers away from four hundred! I want to thank each and every one of you for that. It means so much to me.

As always, thank you for reading.

Sincerely yours,
